    The Process

    Contact

Share with us your priorities and requirements; we thoroughly analyze your needs and identify the highest quality and competitive options, both in the domestic and global market.

    Visit & Pre-agreement

After we have identified the boat that fully meets your wishes, we make the first visit. Then, having confirmed our interest, we proceed to draw up the preliminary contract (MOA) and the deposit is made to the escrow agent, as provided for.

    Inspection & Sea Trial

Our inspectors carry out an inspection and sea trial. After we confirm that the vessel fully meets your expectations and check the documentation, we proceed to the final stage of the process.

    Signing & Delivery

The process is completed with the signing of the Bill of Sale, the payment of the seller and the physical delivery of the boat, during which the parties sign the Delivery and Acceptance Protocol, sealing the completion of the transaction.

    Frequently asked questions

The MOA is a binding document that sets out the main terms of the purchase and sale of a vessel before the final transfer. It is drafted on the basis of the international MYBA standard and includes the price, deadlines, completion conditions, as well as clauses for positive inspection and sea trial.

Its signature marks the payment of an advance to an escrow agent, ensuring the transparency and security of the transaction for all parties involved.

The KYC (Know Your Client) process is a mandatory international step designed to ensure the legality of transactions, fraud prevention, money laundering and other illegal activities. It involves the verification of the identity and financial status of the customer, whether a natural or legal person.

In this context, YachtingMates will request specific documentation, depending on the legal form of the client, in order to carry out the required checks. The process is carried out with discretion, speed and with the aim of minimizing the burden on the client.

The information and documents provided are kept by YachtingMates in strict confidentiality and restricted access, in accordance with applicable law.

As part of the KYC (Know Your Client) process, YachtingMates collects and verifies the necessary documentation in order to ensure the legality of transactions, fraud prevention, money laundering and compliance with the applicable legal framework. The supporting documents differ depending on whether the contract is concluded with a natural or legal person.

For natural persons, the following are required:

    - A copy of your identity card or passport.

    - Proof of residential address (copy of recent utility bill or original bank statement, issued up to six months ago).

For legal entities, the following are required:

    - Incumbency certificate, signed by an authorized representative of the company.

    - A record of the corporate structure, showing the final beneficiaries (natural persons), accompanied by the relevant supporting documents.

    - For final beneficiaries: copy of identity card or passport and proof of address (as above).

Additional information or documents may be requested on a case-by-case basis, depending on the requirements of applicable legislation or the particularities of the transaction.

All data and documents are kept by YachtingMates with absolute confidentiality and restricted access, ensuring customer rights and compliance with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements. Reports are available to the client for full transparency.

A yacht broker is not just a middleman; he acts as a strategic advisor who organises and coordinates the entire sales process. From the preparation and presentation of the yacht to the final delivery, he ensures that each stage is handled with precision, professionalism and speed.

Interprets the market, connects with the appropriate clientele, coordinates screenings and technical audits, negotiates terms and oversees marine testing and inspections. This maximises the value of the vessel, speeds up the sales process and ensures the best possible terms for the seller.

Market knowledge, experience and comprehensive guidance make the broker a valuable partner of the seller, ensuring an organized, safe and quality sales process.
