    The Process

    Contact

Share with us your priorities and requirements; we thoroughly analyze your needs and identify the highest quality and competitive options, both in the domestic and global market.

    Visit & Pre-agreement

After we have identified the boat that fully meets your wishes, we make the first visit. Then, having confirmed our interest, we proceed to draw up the preliminary contract (MOA) and the deposit is made to the escrow agent, as provided for.

    Inspection & Sea Trial

Our inspectors carry out an inspection and sea trial. After we confirm that the vessel fully meets your expectations and check the documentation, we proceed to the final stage of the process.

    Signing & Delivery

The process is completed with the signing of the Bill of Sale, the payment of the seller and the physical delivery of the boat, during which the parties sign the Delivery and Acceptance Protocol, sealing the completion of the transaction.

    Frequently asked questions

The Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) is a binding document that sets out the main terms of the sale of a vessel prior to final transfer. It is drawn up based on the international MYBA standard and includes the price, deadlines, completion conditions, as well as clauses for a positive inspection and sea trial.

The KYC (Know Your Client) process is an internationally mandatory step, designed to ensure the legitimacy of transactions, prevent fraud, money laundering and other illegal activities. It involves verifying the identity and financial status of the customer, whether they are a natural person or a legal entity.

In this context, YachtingMates will request specific supporting documents, depending on the legal form of the client, in order to carry out the required checks. The process is carried out discreetly, quickly and with the aim of minimal burden for the client.

The information and documents provided are kept by YachtingMates with strict confidentiality and limited access, in accordance with applicable legislation.

As part of the KYC (Know Your Client) process, YachtingMates collects and verifies the necessary supporting documents in order to ensure the legality of transactions, prevent fraud, money laundering and comply with the applicable legal framework. The supporting documents differ depending on whether the contract is concluded with a natural or legal person.

For individuals, the following are required:

    – Copy of identity card or passport.

    – Proof of residential address (copy of a recent utility bill or original bank statement, issued within six months).

For legal entities, the following are required:

    – Certificate of incorporation and incumbency, signed by an authorized representative of the company.

    – Recording of the corporate structure, reflecting the ultimate beneficiaries (natural persons), accompanied by the corresponding supporting documents.

    – For the final beneficiaries: copy of ID or passport and proof of address (as above).

On occasion, additional information or documents may be requested, depending on the requirements of applicable law or the specifics of the transaction.

All data and documents are kept by YachtingMates with absolute confidentiality and limited access, ensuring client rights and compliance with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements. Reports are available to the client for full transparency.

A yacht broker is not just a middleman; he acts as a strategic advisor who organizes and coordinates the entire sales process. From the preparation and presentation of the boat to the final delivery, he ensures that each stage progresses with precision, professionalism and speed.

Interprets the market, connects with the right clientele, coordinates viewings and technical inspections, negotiates terms and oversees sea trials and inspections. This maximizes the value of the vessel, speeds up the sales process and secures the best possible terms for the seller.

Market knowledge, experience and comprehensive guidance make the broker a valuable partner to the seller, ensuring an organized, safe and quality sales process.
